Associate Professor Vivek Thakkar is a leading Sydney Rheumatologist and founder of Joint Medical Specialists. He has expertise in:

Associate Professor Vivek Thakkar is an experienced Australian-trained rheumatologist with over 20 years experience who offers excellent care that is accurate, personalised and compassionate.
Associate Professor Thakkar completed his general medical and rheumatology sub-specialty training in Sydney, and then worked as a rheumatologist at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne whilst completing his research doctorate in the autoimmune diseases and pulmonary hypertension, especially in Scleroderma. He moved back to Sydney in 2013.
His goal is that you understand your condition, and develops personalised solutions to improve your quality of life. Careful assessment, holistic care and durable solutions are very important to him.
